What is the Mission Candlelight Parade?

The Mission Candlelight Parade is an annual event that celebrates Christmas and the community of Mission. It is a family-oriented parade where community groups and businesses showcase themselves and use the opportunity to inform residents of Mission about the varied services, activities and opportunities that exist within Mission. The parade is supported by the Council of the City of Mission and is considered one of the more important community events of the year, drawing in over 10,000 spectators.

Date: December 2nd 2023

Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Parade Route: First Ave/Lougheed Hwy from Horne westbound to Haig through Downtown Mission. The parade route will be closed to all eastbound and westbound traffic from 3pm to 10pm.

$50 a ticket includes a drink of your choice, a snack and a great comedy show!

All proceeds of the event go directly to SARA for Women.

Bring your family and friends to 1st Avenue (and check out our Thrift Boutique!) for a Trick or Treat evening that is always sure to please the crowds! Our Thrift Boutique will have door signs indicating that we are a "Candy Zone" and we will be handing out candy for all of the trick'o'treaters around Mission. Make sure to stop by and say hi!

Come out and learn about the work our staff and volunteers do for the women in the communities we support. This year's meeting will be held in person as well as with a Microsoft Teams option for those who prefer to participate from home. We will send you a link the day before the meeting. However, you will need to register in advance and use the Microsoft Teams Application.

We're so excited to be a part of Mission's favorite community festival back to downtown Mission this summer!

First Ave will be shut down to traffic from Murray to Grand. Instead of cars, it'll be filled with bouncy castles and activities for the kids, local performers, food trucks, music, and a ZIPLINE down an entire block! You do not want to miss this. This is a free family event for everyone so mark your calendars and join us for a fun-filled day downtown!
